Childhood Song

For my last blog for music I thought I would do the song Spinnin Around by Jump 5.  This song means a lot to me because this is the song that reminds me of my entire childhood.  I used to listen to them all the time and when I was upset or moody my family would play their songs to cheer me up.  Also they did the soundtrack for one of my favorite Disney Movies which is Lilo & Stitch.  If anyone would ask me what band influenced me the most as a child it would be this band.

So the video i picked was a video I took while at the Paradise Fears concert.  The band is extremely good live and I even got the chance to meet Sam the lead singer in person.  He is such a nice guy and really fun to talk to.  The song i recorded jut happened to be last breath which was the first song by them I blog about.  So i thought it would be cool if I used a live performance of the same song.

little things

This is one of One direction's newest songs.  Its called little things and the first time I heard this song i felt all the emotion behind it.  This song tells people that you should love someone for even the tiniest detail about them.  This song truly shows how love is suppose to be and I don't think anyone could ever come up with a better love song than this.

Beauty and a Beat

This is a song that i cannot stop listening to and the reason I picked this song is that I could not stand to listen to it.  However, now it is one of my favorite songs.  I have always been a big fan of Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj so to hear them put an amazing song together is so amazing.  The beat this song has just makes you want to dance.

Truly madly deeply

Ever since I've first heard this song its been one of my favorite slower songs.  I believe this song has so much emotion behind every line of this song.  It makes you realize how much someone can feel for another person.  It also has such a good beat and the singer has a voice that fits the song perfectly.

Funny as can be

I decided to do a song created by a comedian named Bo Burnham.  He uses to music to create jokes.  My best friend and I discovered him one day and we have been following his act ever since.  I think if you listen to this song you wont be able to hold back the laughs.  This is a great combination of music and comedy.

Holy Hickey!!

Alex Nester and I decided to give each other a song to listen to and then write about.  For my song it was Take A Little Ride by Jason Aldean.  Country music is not exactly my cup of tea but this song was alright.  The beat is actually very infectious but I think the lyrics are a bit lame.  However, after listening to it a few time I was able to find it enjoyable but I still think I'll be staying away from country music for awhile.

Halloween

So in the spirit of Halloween which is probably my very holiday out of them all, I decided to do This is Halloween from the movie Nightmare Before Christmas.  I watch this movie almost every year around Halloween and once I've watched the movie I can never get this song out of my head.  I think this is just a fun loving song that kinda explains Halloween in a way.  Not to mention it makes a great start to the movie. 

So far I've done nothing but pop songs and decided to go with another form of music that I love which is screamo and one of my all time favorite bands is woe is me. They did a cover of hot n cold by katy perry.  I believe they made this song their own they even added some funny dialog to the song.  All around i love this song.   Also this song reminds me of my friends in high school cause we all loved this band and would always listened to it when ever my friends and I were together.

Paradise Fears Last Breath

After listening to Alex Nester's song from Paradise Fears last week, I decided to check up other songs from them and I discovered this song.  The song is called last breath and the lyrics along with the singers voice made it an amazing. I also love what the song talks about. It gives the message that you should hold on to that person you love even after they die the memories should still remain with you. I believe the music video just adds to the message of the song.

I decided for my third blog to do a cover by @sunset of One Direction's song More Than This.  I kinda thought this would tie the other two blogs together.  However, I equally love this song by both bands.  The vocals of both bands are even different @sunset reaches notes that their comfortable with.  A big example of this is the notes Harrison(@sunset) and Harry Styles(One Direction) both sing in the song.  Harry is capable of hitting extremely high notes while Harrison is not able to hit notes that high.  The song itself is about being in love and seeing the person with someone who does not treat them right and knowing you could show them more love.

Awesome cover of the song The Fighter

For my second blog I decided to put  up a cover of the song Fighter by Gym Class Heroes.  The cover is done by a new Australian band called @sunset.  I truely love the lyrics to this song but feel that the original artist's voice doesn't exactly fit the song.  However, @sunset makes the song sound amazing. I listen to this song at least once a day and can't help but sing along with it when ever I hear it.   I really love the message this song gives to just keep pushing no matter how much you've been beaten down.  The song truely gives you the feeling that you can get through any difficult time in your life.

I decided to do my first blog with the song What makes you beautiful from One Direction.  Mainly I picked this song because there my favorite Artists. This is one of the very first songs done by One Direction.  However their first official song was Everything About You but the first one to be heard on the radio in America was What makes You beautiful.  This group is fairly new they have only been around for about a year and a half.  However, just because their new does not mean there song have no meaning.  This song is all about telling someone how beautiful they are to you, its shows us that even though you might not see it someone else see the beauty that you have.  I love hearing this song because no matter how down I am hearing this song always make me smile.
